Leave Message due to Childcare by Mother

Dear boss, I am writing this message to inform you that I will not be able to make it to the office today as my child is not feeling well. As her mother, I need to be with her and take care of her. I apologize for the inconvenience caused by this and promise you that I will make it up to you tomorrow.

Dear boss, please accept this message as my formal application for leave for 00-00-0000 as my only son is going through health deterioration. He needs me by his side as he has no one else to look after him. Kindly allow me one day’s leave and I shall resume the work as I return to work. I will appreciate your cooperation.
